A Fermanagh teenager accused of offences relating to 'upskirting' two women is to contest the charges.

The teen, who can't be named for legal reasons, is charged with five counts of allegedly taking covert images underneath the skirts of the women between February 2015 and May 2016.

No specific law exists in Northern Ireland against 'upskirting'. The defendant is charged with "an act of lewd obscene and disgusting nature and disgusting nature and outraging public decency" by making the images.

At Enniskillen Magistrates Court yesterday, defence solicitor Tommy Owens said the teen, who was not present, would be contesting the charges. The solicitor asked for the case to be adjourned to August but was told one of the witnesses in the case would be out of the country on the date suggested.

The case was adjourned until July 10 for a review, and the contest was scheduled for September 11.
