Belfast's first co-working space for fintech companies has opened at Danske Bank's flagship city branch.

The Catalyst Fintech Hub, on Donegall Square West, is aimed at the growing number of early-stage technology businesses operating in the finance space.

Fintech firm Finmondo, run by Conor Logue and Conor Houston, is the first member of the new start-up hub.

The space offers round-the-clock access for members, as well as office suites, permanent desks, hotdesking space, a breakout coffee area and an event space inside a disused safe.

It's the first time that Catalyst Inc - the new name for the Northern Ireland Science Park - has had a space inside the city centre.

Steve Orr, director of Connect at Catalyst Inc, said the hub would support fintech "by nurturing, supporting and encouraging entrepreneurs and innovators".
