Final preparations are under way for the 150th Balmoral Show which will open at 9am tomorrow.
Exhibitors with no qualms about getting their hands dirty were hard at work yesterday as thousands of livestock - including cattle, pigs, goats, poultry, rabbits and ponies - arrived in their temporary living stalls ahead of the four-day showcase event.
"We hope to replicate the success of last year by adding an extra day again," a spokesman for the agri-food industry event said.
"We added Saturday for the first time last year and it was a huge success - we peaked at over 115,000 visitors and our stats show that many of those who came on the Saturday were first time attendees."
The spokesman also said organisers are keeping their fingers crossed for blue skies, but promised there will be "plenty of covered space available in the showgrounds just in case".
